Hello, I'm Kenny Voon. My journey began as a lawyer in a longstanding 22-year-old firm in Kuching, where I discovered a gap in the marketing practices for lawyers in my hometown.

Recognizing the unique constraints on marketing within the legal profession, I, a determined young lawyer, sought novel ways to differentiate myself in the market and attract new clientele.

An opportune introduction to Business Network International (BNI) by my university friend Darryl, who had successfully leveraged BNI to grow his own firm, marked a turning point in my career. Inspired by Darryl's success, my wife Nicole and I decided to introduce BNI to Kuching as franchise consultants.

After an intensive eight weeks of informational meetings, we launched our first BNI chapter, BNI Pioneer, on January 17th, 2014. This endeavor led to the establishment of five more chapters in Kuching and Sibu.

To date, BNI members in the Kuching region have exchanged over 60,000 referrals and generated more than RM185 million (USD40 million) in business, a testament to the effectiveness of BNI's proven referral system.

This experience with BNI propelled me to leverage Social Media Marketing to build my referral consulting business, which has since grown into a successful 7-figure venture. Having honed my digital marketing skills, I now assist a wide array of clients - from course creators and property developers to real estate agents, kindergartens, consultants, and trainers - in expanding their businesses online.

In addition to these services, I also help local business owners and marketers dominate their markets by creating efficient systems for online advertising. This enables them to close more deals, predictably grow their businesses, and avoid the unnecessary expenditure of time, money, and stress.

Once these businesses have a profitable social marketing system in place, I help them leverage their success and industry expertise to sell highly profitable information products back into their own niche or customer base.

Throughout the last decade, I've collaborated with local businesses, small businesses, and marketers and have a proven track record of results, including helping a property developer sold out their entire project during the first 8 months of lockdowns in 2020 using Facebook Funnel Marketing.

I've also had the privilege of speaking at the some business conferences like BNI National Director Summit, where I share my processes with other frachisors."

What's the story behind my transformation into a globally acclaimed expert in local marketing and paid traffic, and how did I manage to grow my own business into a successful 7-figure venture?

Let's set the time machine back to when I first dipped my toes into the professional world in 2011...

I was fresh out of law school and eager to contribute to my family's law firm. I was excited, ready to take on the world, but I quickly learned that I needed to bring in new business to make my mark. It was a daunting task for someone who had little experience in marketing or networking. I spent two years trying to meet people, forge relationships, and secure new clients. But the reality was harsh - I didn't secure a single new client.

In the midst of this challenge, an opportunity presented itself. I was introduced to a business networking consulting business known as BNI. I saw potential in it and decided to bring BNI to Kuching, kickstarting a whole new venture. But, just like the law firm, BNI needed to attract new members. With a limited network in Kuching, I turned to what seemed like the most promising platform: Facebook.

I started off doing what everyone else was doing - posting on my Facebook page and boosting my posts. But the results were disappointing. I was burning through money without gaining a single lead.

It doesn't matter if no one else believes in you.

What matters is if YOU believe in you.

Just when I was about to give up, I came across the concept of funnel marketing through Russell Brunson. This was a game changer. I quickly built my first funnel, launched an ad, and saw leads start to trickle into my consulting business. The results were encouraging, and so I expanded the memberships and launched my first BNI chapter.

The success of my funnel marketing strategy transformed my consulting business, taking it to six figures in its first year. My success didn't go unnoticed. Local businesses approached me for help with their ads, and I found myself conducting several workshops.

I worked with kindergartens, property developers, and a range of local businesses, consistently generating leads for them. But then, a new challenge emerged. These businesses didn't have proper lead management systems. They'd receive leads but wait until the next day, or even longer, to follow up. By then, the leads had gone cold.

I knew there had to be a better way. I set out to develop a follow-up and lead management system that not only tracked the progress of leads but also automated the follow-up process. This system proved to be transformative for my clients, dramatically increasing their conversion rates and boosting their profitability.

My journey from a new lawyer to a successful business consultant has been one of constant learning and adapting. I've embraced new strategies, faced challenges head-on, and always strived to provide the best for my clients. My hands-on experience and innovative approach have given me a unique edge in the market - not only do I know how to generate leads, but I also know how to convert them into successful business outcomes.

Originally from Kuching, Malaysia, a quaint city tucked away on the island of Borneo, I share my life and entrepreneurial pursuits with my remarkable wife. We are the proud parents of two spirited children - a boy and a girl, who add a sprinkle of joy and a dash of energy to our lives.

Traveling is the shared passion that binds us as a family. In fact, our life's motto is delightfully simple - to earn well and journey around the globe.

Our passports bear the marks of our adventures - stamps from a myriad of countries. We've strolled through the time-etched streets of Europe and the UK, immersed ourselves in the vibrant bustle of Hong Kong and China, gazed at the ancient wonders of Cambodia, reveled in the cutting-edge wonders of Singapore, embraced the unique cultures of Korea and Japan, basked in the warm hospitality of Thailand, and appreciated the vast natural beauty of Australia. All these incredible experiences have been curated over the past few years.

However, our wanderlust remains unquenched. We're gearing up for our next sojourn to the charming city of Osaka, Japan. Post which, we plan to fly across the Pacific, heading to the sunny and lively Los Angeles, USA.
